Overview

We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for an experienced Business Planning Analyst for our prevention divisional services and credentialling department.

In this role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll provide support for a variety of duties related to the business planning, analysis, performance, and quality management for Licensing Services department currently supporting Bill 5 implementation.

This is a temporary assignment of approximately 12 months.

At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position.

In this role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll work primarily from your B.C. home and occasionally in our Richmond office.

What you\'ll do

  • Provide support and assistance to directors, managers, and staff in developing business plans
  • Define measures and develop and complete departmental reports
  • Apply financial and business planning principles and practices, including result-based management, to maintain a balanced scorecard in the public sector
  • Manage projects as they relate to financial planning and performance measurements
  • Apply business process improvement principles including change management
  • Gather and analyze information to understand problems and/or opportunities, and develop creative and pragmatic solutions
  • Write concise, clear, and grammatically correct business documents to inform or persuade a variety of audiences

  • Facilitate meetings with clients and co-workers
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis techniques

Your background and experience
  • A master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a business-related discipline, such as business administration, accounting, or finance and a minimum of four years of related work experience in business and/or financial analysis
  • Or, a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a business-related discipline, such as business administration, accounting, or finance, plus a recognized Canadian accounting designation (CPA) and a minimum of four years of related work experience
