The Business Development Representative works on a vendor team that supports Google\xe2\x80\x99s New Business Sales Team - a group of highly-skilled professionals whose focus is on engaging and obtaining high potential advertisers, and subsequently persuading them to incorporate Google\'s range of marketing products (YouTube, Google Ads, and the Google Display Network) into their current Marketing strategies. This global and dedicated team is the engine behind Google\xe2\x80\x99s continued growth.


Description: Business Development Representative

As a Business Development Representative you will work closely with the New Business Sales team and are primarily responsible for doing initial customer outreach, discovering potential mutually beneficial partnerships, and qualifying customers for our New Business Sales Team.
You will utilize a mix of skills in researching/Pipeline your own leads from external and internal sources and tools, and also vet leads from provided lists. You will determine the potential for a lead to meet the business requirements of the teams based on predetermined metrics, and route leads appropriately to the corresponding team. Our ideal candidate will be trusted to dive right in, take the lead, manage a large pipeline, use initiative to help find and qualify our highest value customers. Highly skilled at pre-sales and business operations, this person will join and inspire a team of like-minded go-getters to achieve our company vision.

Base Salary: $51,000 per year with the possibility of OTE of $74,250 per year.


Responsibilities: Business Development Representative
  • Outreach to high-quality, policy-compliant leads for the New Business Sales team to work on.
  • Manage both our existing sales pipeline and develop new business opportunities.
  • Evaluate prospective client potential, aligning with sales team expectations.
  • Work through the pipeline by identifying and contacting decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities, select the deals in line with strategies, and lead and facilitate pitch logistics.
  • Perform needs assessment with business decision-makers to identify eligibility and potential.
  • Demonstrate the ability to achieve/exceed the quarterly target.
  • Book appointments with sales representatives who will close the deal.
  • Manage lead pipeline rigorously to comply with internal service levels.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders.


What we are looking for:
  • Persistence \xe2\x80\x93 Pre-sales representatives who have frequently dealt with different types of prospects and customers. Showcase a positive attitude to qualify and transform leads to sales while achieving quarterly targets in a dynamic environment.
  • Communication skills \xe2\x80\x93 A personable communicator who clearly and persuasively describes products and services to customers to encourage sales transactions.
  • Problem-solving skills \xe2\x80\x93Identify and address prospect and customer concerns during the entire process.


Required qualifications: Business Development Representative
  • Min. 1-2 years experience in market research, pre-sales, and sales.
  • Previous BDR or outbound sales experience preferred, with a track record of strong performance
  • Minimum education level of Bachelors or higher education.
  • Able to think strategically and follow market trends.
  • Intermediate Google spreadsheet skills (ability to work with pivot tables, vlookups, etc).
  • Strong time management skills. Able to multitask and stay detail-oriented.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated individual who is confident, competitive, tenacious, and proactive.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to evaluate multiple business models.


Preferred qualifications: Business Development Representative
  • Proven ability to plan and manage lead pipeline.
  • Working experience with sales techniques.
  • Experienced in digital advertising & marketing.
  • Experience with CRM software (i.e., Salesforce).
