About the Role




Business Development Manager Americas, is a sales role responsiblefor the end-to-end business winning activity to support the Integrated ProductSupport software and technical services offering. The nature of the role isproactive hunting for business opportunities and then pursuing and closingthem using solution selling and trusted partner techniques.

Key Responsibilities and Duties




1. Manage allocated regional customer accounts to include strategicpartnerships, expansion of existing business, upgrades, and new opportunities.


2. Support the sales team responsible for the recurring business of maintenanceand subscription renewals for existing customers.


3. Maintain a detailed knowledge of regional markets and maintainclose liaison with all sources of pertinent business knowledge.


4. Work with the marketing team to identify symposia and exhibitionsto attend which will increase Pennants visibility in the marketplace andcontribute to business growth.


5. Monitor tender opportunities and ensure that the Company isincluded on the lists of suppliers to receive invitations to tender.


6. Coordinate with Customer Support team on customer requests thatrequire Sales input (i.e., requests for spares, ad-hoc tasking, consulting, training,etc.)


7. Population of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and salespipeline tool.


8. Work with the President Pennant Americas and Business DevelopmentDirector to develop market growth strategies which will deliver the annualbusiness growth targets.


9. Increase the profile of Pennant through appropriate participationin Working Groups and industry bodies.


10. Support to the sales and marketing team as they develop thesupport engineering and technical consultancy portfolio including advice andcommercial support to business development and bids.

Other Responsibilities




1.Organize regional technical demonstrations as needed.


2. Represent the Sales team at periodic management reviews,costing/pricing meetings, potential client, and departmental meetings.


3. Support the production of Company literature, brochures, andpromotional materials with the Marketing team.Creation of plans, project documentation, minutes of meetings andreports/metrics as required by the Company procedures or terms of contract.


5. Participate in all key customer facingprogram meetings and events (i.e., contract negotiations, program strategy,progress/contract reviews, etc.)

1. Ability to develop, implement and maintain effective plans.


2. Highly organized with an ability to clearly and logically presentinformation.


3. Good communications skills with ability to operate as part of adynamic teams.


4. Ability to coordinate across multiple regions and conduct businessin different time zones.


5. Be resourceful and take initiative to resolve issues.


6. Willingness to learn and grown within a fast-paced environment.


RELEVANTQUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE


1. Demonstrable experience in


1.1 Customer Account Management or similar role.


1.2 Understanding of project and programme management.


1.3 Knowledge in a technical field.


2. Experience driving small to large scale sales projects to largeprivate organizations.


3. Several years experience in sales management of solutions andservices.
