Job Description

BEBA TRANSPORT LIMITED is a community?based, non?urgent medical transport provider serving hospitals, clinics, and long?term care homes in the Ottawa area. The company has built strong relationships in the community and is now ready to scale by increasing trip volume and securing new contracts.

Role overview


The Business Development Manager will grow existing accounts, win new contracts, and manage RFPs and proposals. This is a field?focused role for someone who enjoys visiting hospitals, clinics, and LTC homes, building relationships, and turning them into consistent business.

Key responsibilities



Grow existing accounts Visit and call current hospital, clinic, and long?term care partners to increase call volume. Secure written service agreements and preferred?provider status where possible. Win new contracts Identify and approach new clinics, hospitals, LTC homes, rehab centres, and insurers in Ottawa and surrounding areas. Book meetings with decision?makers (managers, schedulers, discharge planners, social workers, procurement) and present BEBA's services. RFPs and proposals Monitor for relevant RFPs and tender opportunities. Prepare and submit proposals, coordinating with the owner on pricing and service details. Relationship and pipeline management Maintain a simple pipeline (spreadsheet/CRM) of prospects, meetings, proposals, and outcomes. Provide brief weekly updates on outreach, meetings, and results.

Qualifications



Business development, sales, or account management (healthcare, transportation, or services is an asset). Comfortable with in?person field work, visiting multiple facilities per day in the Ottawa region. Strong communication and follow?up skills; able to build trust with clinical and administrative staff. Basic writing skills for proposals and RFP responses. Experience with healthcare or public?sector RFPs is a strong asset.

Schedule



Part?time: approximately 2-3 days per week. Some flexibility in hours, but must be available during normal business hours for on?site visits and meetings.

Compensation



Part?time base pay in the range of approximately $1,500-$2,000 per month (depending on experience and final schedule). Strong commission on: New accounts you sign (percentage of revenue from new clients for a defined period). Measurable growth from existing accounts where your efforts lead to increased trip volume. High earning potential for strong closers.
