About the Role:
We are recruiting on behalf of our client--a well-established and rapidly growing advertising agency based in Mississauga--for the position of
Business Development Manager
. This is a
hybrid position
, initially offered as a 6-month contract, with the potential to be extended or transitioned
into a permanent role
based on performance.
The ideal candidate will bring solid experience in the
advertising, media, or marketing industry
, with a strong track record of generating leads, closing deals, and building strategic relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and develop new business opportunities to support agency growth across traditional and digital advertising services.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, brands, media partners, and internal stakeholders.
Understand client needs and collaborate with internal teams to develop customized, integrated advertising solutions.
Prepare and deliver compelling pitches, presentations, and proposals to prospective clients.
Consistently meet or exceed revenue and business development targets.
Track market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new opportunities.
Represent the agency at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in business development or client servicing within the
advertising, media, or marketing industry
.
In-depth understanding of advertising solutions.
Proven ability to manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing.
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
Nice to Have:
Experience working with or within a full-service advertising agency
Established network of contacts in the Canadian advertising/media landscape
Understanding of both B2B and B2C advertising environments
