About the Role:
We're looking for a strategic and driven Business Development Manager to join our growing SaaS company. In this role, you'll be responsible for identifying high-value leads, building strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth through new business opportunities. You'll work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and product to align go-to-market efforts to develop a sales pipeline that contributes to long-term company growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and qualify new business opportunities in target markets through prospecting, cold outreach, networking, and inbound lead follow-up.
Understand client needs and pain points to deliver tailored pitches and define email sequences that drive increasing response rates.
Collaborate with marketing to align messaging and campaigns that generate and nurture leads.
Conduct product demos and communicate value propositions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Triage inbounds from our AI recruit partner and owned channels (i.e. website, ads), prioritizing and actioning accordingly.
Maintain accurate sales pipeline data in Salesforce and forecast revenue projections.
Work closely with Account Executives to ensure a smooth handoff post-demo to optimize close rates.
Stay informed on SaaS industry trends, competitor offerings, and evolving customer needs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or a related field..
3+ years of experience in B2B business development or sales, ideally within a SaaS or tech environment, marketing or social media experience a plus.
Proven ability to meet or exceed quotas and build lasting client relationships.
Experience selling subscription-based, cloud, or enterprise software products.
Strong consultative selling and storytelling abilities with a client-centric mindset.
Proficient with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales engagement tools (e.g., Apollo).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Self-starter with a growth mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.

Compensation Range:
We offer a starting salary of $60,000-85,000 CAD + commission
Total compensation includes Salary, bonus, benefits, and other perks
