What You Will Do and Learn Our Business Development Consultant (BDC) team is part of our wider Sales motion, focusing on generating new business and whitespace pipeline through prospecting outbound opportunities and engaging in channel relations with the ultimate goal of closed won business. You will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced team with varied future customers and personalized training and career opportunities. Ideal candidates will be able to:
  • Support Spaulding Ridge Director(s) and/or Partner(s) to drive and manage complex sales-cycles and efficiently present value to prospects, software partners and clients.
  • Develop channel partner relationships and collaborate to execute on new business development.
  • Develop and generate qualified leads by following up on marketing-generated leads and inbound requests, follow-up with event attendees, and by outbound cold-calling, email correspondence and other forms of digital prospecting to targeted prospects.
  • Learn how to have value-based discussions with prospects and clients.
  • Meet and exceed weekly and monthly sales metrics, forecasts, meeting, and call objectives.
  • Ability to identify cross-sell opportunities across Practices.
  • Represent Spaulding Ridge\'s values with each touchpoint.
  • Day to Day:
    • Generate new business pipeline primarily through prospecting outbound opportunities
    • Manage inbound leads that are driven by outbound effort
    • Nurture early-stage opportunities with the support of a team
    • Gain interest through outbound cold calling across a set of existing Salesforce or Spaulding Ridge customers and breaking into net new logos in assigned markets.
    • Partner with SR leadership to identify and source net new pipeline and assist by researching lines of business and personas.
    • Align with internal account team for cross sell opportunities.
    • Identify key decision makers within new accounts.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in selling, cold calling, or relationship building channel software role.
  • Experience, working based off a transactional quota and high intensity sales motions.
  • Excellent communications skills - oral, written and presentation.
  • High level of energy, drive, enthusiasm, initiative, commitment, and professionalism
  • High moral character with a desire to do what is right for prospects and clients.
  • Experience in self-generating new business and upside if familiar with channel relationship selling.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.com and marketing automation tools
