Overview of the Position
The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for assisting in the planning, designing, developing and launching efficient business, financial and operational systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes. Some of your key accountabilities would include:

• Effectively obtains necessary information from stakeholders to form requirements.
• Able to learn how to develop and decompose functional and non-functional requirements through varied elicitation techniques
• Displays and maintains a high level of awareness as related to current enterprise architecture and organizational process to ensure all areas impacted have adequate/appropriate stakeholder representation
• Effectively manages and executes plan of approval and changes to requirements
• Ability to accurately capture information in a manner that stakeholders understand and can review and validate
• Displays and maintains appropriate level of traceability in plan
• Assesses the organizational readiness for adopting changes and enhancements
• Manages testing strategy during quality assurance, acceptance, installation and deployment of future state
• Creates and/or assists with test cases and supports the execution of the testing
• Validates that the future state meets the business need
• Supports the prioritization and management of IT requests and projects
• Assesses the effect and impact a defect or issue has on the business value of the solution
• Establishes and maintains regular written and in-person communications with the organization\xe2\x80\x99s department leads, end users and IT Team Members regarding pertinent IT activities

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Post-secondary education; degree or certificate in Business Analysis
• 3-5 years\xe2\x80\x99 business analyst experience
• Broad knowledge of retail industry processes and practices an asset
• Experience in Software Development Lifecycle
• Ability to comprehend and translate business process requirements into IT requirements
• Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) or Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification an asset
• Highly organized with ability to prioritize
• Effective planning skills with ability to adapt to change
• Perform effectively under pressure
• Excellent relationship building and a team-player

This position is an on-site role, based in our beautiful Home Office, which is located at 475 Panet Road, in Winnipeg.
