DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Facilitate, coordinate, and capture project related requirements with the subject matter experts and project sponsor
  • Work with subject matter experts, end users, technical architects, and developers to define and document user requirements using techniques such as use case modeling concepts
  • Effectively elicit, analyze, specify, communicate, and manage business, functional, and non-functional requirements
  • Create detailed user stories or requirements documentation for development including acceptance criteria
  • Aid in designing workshops and review solution designs created by functional and technical analysts, representing the interests of the business, and verifying the solution is fit for purpose and meets documented requirements
  • Track requirements through the development process to ensure they are met using a requirements traceability matrix
  • Assist in conducting research on software and hardware products to meet requirements and support purchasing efforts
  • Participate in and/or lead fact-gathering and decision-making sessions to negotiate and document business scope, functional requirements, and priorities, as well as identifying gaps in current solutions
  • Facilitate analysis and discussion, collaborate with teams of cross-functional experts and users
  • Liaise with technical staff to provide the business perspective during analysis and design of specifications for business applications
  • Effectively communicate with all areas of the team (management, design/UX, development and quality assurance) to coordinate efforts
  • Incorporate analytical and problem resolution skills to effectively communicate findings and approaches to management and staff
  • Communicate complex and technical information in a succinct and clear manner that is understood by technical staff, users, management, and executive
  • Assist the Project Manager to track, monitor, and communicate project and enhancement progress and status against the project plan, requirements, quality measures, standard processes, and milestones
  • Analyze current business processes and scenarios and recommend/develop solutions to meet the requirements and improve processes
  • Champion change throughout the project life cycle, serving as business advocate and communication bridge to the project team
  • Produce high quality deliverables on time, including business requirements, test plans, test scenarios/cases, functional designs, and knowledge transfer materials
  • Participate in Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing to ensure features and functions have been enabled
  • Perform other related projects and duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • Completion of a Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in a relevant field (Business, Computer Science, Information Systems Technology), or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience is required
  • 3-5 years of related experience
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional Designation (CBAP) is preferred
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary project teams including Enterprise Architecture, Application Architecture, Security, Privacy, User Experience, Developers, Quality Assurance, and Subject Matter Experts in a collaborative team environment
  • Previous experience using project tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA and Visio would be considered an asset
  • Former experience and robust knowledge in Agile, Traditional and Hybrid methodologies
  • Solid hands-on experience with tools like Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI, along with a good grasp of statistical and analytical concepts
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, OneNote, PowerPoint with an ability to easily learn new software applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both the user community and IT, and expertise in setting and managing customer expectations
  • Proven analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills, including the ability to recognize challenges, identify causes and provide solutions
  • Good understanding of current and emerging technologies
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada on an unrestricted basis
  • Criminal Record and background check satisfactory to Saskatchewan Blue Cross
