We recognize the land and waters that have inspired our work and offer gratitude to those Indigenous peoples on whose territory we work, live and play.About the role:Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular full-time, Business Analyst SAP & Supply Chain to join our Integrated Supply Chain Business Systems & Analytics team.Reporting to the Product Owner, Integrated Supply Chain Business Systems & Analytics, the Business Analyst, SAP & Supply Chain will participate in the planning, development, implementation and monitoring of SAP & Supply Chain business system updates and enhancements. You will identify and complete small to medium tasks as part of projects and releases. These tasks include, but are not limited to, requirements (use case) gathering, analysis, project plan and work schedule creation and management, project and release coordination, test case creation, user acceptance testing. The role also involves interfacing with various IT departments to complete requirements gathering and integration coordination for new and existing business systems.Formula for Success:
  • Utilizing your strong attention to detail skills, determine system and corresponding process operational objectives by studying business functions and system capabilities; gathering information; evaluating requirements, and applying best practice methodologies for enhancement planning.
  • Focusing on your strong analytical skills, develop and support the creation of design documents, requirements analysis, functional and technical specifications, test and use cases, process flows, procedures, and policies.
  • Leveraging on your ability to organize, prepare reports and lead insight generation by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends for collaborative key stakeholder review and informed decision-making.
  • Using your ability to collaborate, facilitate requirement gathering workshops, clarify business requirements to optimize solution development and build strong client relationships, developing strategic and tactical plans for the business.
  • Drawing on your continuous growth mindset, recommend system improvements by studying current practices and supporting the design of new features & enhancements for existing business systems.
  • Leveraging on your superior knowledge and understanding of SAP, develop knowledge transfer material for SAP end-users as required, including new users as well as gap training for existing SAP end-user.
  • Harnessing your leadership skills, lead and support the development of business cases and project documentation as well as support master data and reporting programs with governance coordination, knowledge transfer, and maintenance where required.
Desired Education and Skills:
  • Post-secondary level education in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic institution, preferably in Business, Computer Science or Computer / Software Engineering.
  • Five to seven years supporting SAP including configuration in a project manager, systems analyst, software developer or business analyst capacity.
  • Experience in business processes to be supported with an aptitude for system design and optimization.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain and manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of information systems and applicable regulatory standards; Experience with SAP, Salesforce or equivalent ERP/Planning/CRM tools.
  • Strong documentation skills (e.g. use cases, business requirements, project plans, training and user guides).
  • Ability to articulate requirements to IT subject matter experts.
  • Proven ability to learn in a fast-paced, dynamic and challenging environment.
