Reporting to the Senior Analyst, the Business Analyst Student will assist in performing audits on process compliance within the various operations of the Utilities business unit.

This is a 12-18 Month contract opportunity.

What You\'ll Do Here:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document current business processes.
  • Observe and report deviations from standard operating procedures.
  • Determine root causes for deviations and perform impact analyses.
  • Present safety and utilization metrics on weekly equipment calls to operations teams.
  • Create process documentation, including flowcharts and standard operating procedures.
  • Identify improvement opportunities; develop and present recommendations to management and monitor their implementation.
  • Determine what processes are being followed and if purported benefits have been realized.
  • Work with management to develop solutions and provide value-added services for Utilities\' dynamic operational environment.
What You Bring to the Team:
  • Must be able to work well within a team environment as well as individually.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to adhere to project schedules and meet deadlines.
  • Microsoft Office proficient - with strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
  • Experience working with SAP is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the confidence and ability to work with all levels of staff and management within a large organization.
  • Experience in the utilities industry an asset.
  • Methodical and thorough approach to diagnosing problems.
