Canacre\xe2\x80\x99s clients include developers, large scale service providers, and government entities that are involved in the planning and development of energy projects, rights of way, resources, and infrastructure across Canada and the United States. Canacre works on large-scale wind and solar power projects, high-voltage transmission lines, pipeline projects, municipal roads projects, and groupings of cellular towers and rooftop antennas.

The Business Analyst is a secondment position embedded with one of Canacre\xe2\x80\x99s clients. The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to work directly with our client in their office, providing data management and real estate transaction support for large infrastructure programs. This is a six (6) month contract with potential for extension.

Your role will be to:

  • Utilize strong MS Excel and data management skills to create complex analysis (formulas, large data sets, pivot tables) and create ad hoc reports for Senior Management
  • Perform real estate transaction closing tasks when acquiring property to ensure timely transfer of funds, and ensure proper supporting documentation is in-place prior to processing the property closing
  • Review Statement of Adjustments, Title Transfer Deeds, R-Plan registrations and other closing documentation
  • Review and process financial documentation in support of forecasting. budgeting, and payments by creating financial models in MS Excel
  • Update and coordinate between various internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition and handover of property files
  • Manages, identifies, and assesses financial issues that could impact project delivery
  • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics or related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in real estate, transactions, project management, cost control, preferably within a real estate organization or transit infrastructure environment
  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • Real estate transactions, property accounting
  • Paralegal/law clerk
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
