Duties and Responsibilities

• Compile, analyze, validate and maintain large volumes of asset data to support settlement, billing, reconciliation, reporting and analytical requirements of Power and Storage\xe2\x80\x99s electricity assets and retail services
• Prepare various reports including performance reports to assist with business communications, variance analysis and decision making
• Understand commercial agreements and applicability to financial impacts
• Create monthly accrual and final asset invoice to external counterparties
• Communicate directly with applicable agencies regarding data validation (AESO, meter & gas suppliers, etc)
• Develop and distribute key process metrics and information to internal stakeholders
• Assist with historical market reporting (StatsCan, Emission reporting, other annual reporting)
• Perform detailed performance analysis based on historical results and assist in the development of forecasts
• Interface with relevant stakeholders, partners and customers to support commercial and contract relationships
• Initiate process improvement recommendations while contributing to standardization and automation of processes to ensure on-going timely delivery of high-quality results

Minimum Qualifications

• Post-Secondary Degree in Business, Accounting, Commerce or Economics
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for variance analysis and resolution of discrepancies
• Advance computer skills particularly in reporting tools, MS Office including MS Excel, with ability to learn new information management systems quickly such as Power BI

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge / understanding of the energy industry
• Experience in commercial management, energy trading and marketing
