The Opportunity:

Canadian Natural Resources has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting. Reporting to the Supervisor, Enterprise Finance Application Support (EFAS), Support Services, the EFAS Business Analyst works with customers in Finance and other departmental stakeholders to identify and implement financial solutions. The EFAS BA provides business analysis, supports and enhances a portfolio of application solutions and manages relationships with stakeholders for those solutions

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop relationships with the users of Finance applications and other departmental stakeholders to address their needs and issues
  • Support and enhance a portfolio of reporting solutions, integrities and integrations. Provide application support to the North America and International offices
  • Deliver system month-end close and year-end
  • Analyze and reconcile data integrities
  • Configure Finance software, participate in development efforts, own functional tests, and coordinate the testing of changes to the Enterprise Finance solutions
  • Troubleshoot and fix issues that occur in the daily use of the EFAS solutions

Skills & Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years post-CPA designation; combination of industry and accounting firm experience is preferred
  • Strong technical skills in application support
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage priorities and work in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment
  • Effective communication skills throughout the organization from end-users to senior management levels. Ability to present complex concepts clearly in easily understood terms, with the use of visuals
  • Education:
  • University degree in accounting or finance
  • CPA
  • Business Analysis Certification is an asset
