Job Description

A Bus Person plays a critical role in maintaining a clean and organized environment within the venue, ensuring that patrons have a pleasant and enjoyable experience. This position involves clearing and resetting tables, assisting with general cleanliness, clearing cans, changing garbage and supporting the overall venue.


Responsibilities





Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:


Efficiently clear and clean tables, railings and floors by removing empty glasses, cans, garbage, and other items throughout the event. Maintain cleanliness in the venue's common areas, including the bar, line ups, dance floor, or other areas. Wipe down surfaces, clean spills promptly, and empty trash & recycling bins as needed. Provide a helpful and friendly presence for patrons, assisting with inquiries and special requests to enhance their experience. Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe environment for patrons and staff. Report any safety hazards or cleanliness issues to management. Work as part of a team with other staff members, including servers, bartenders, and security personnel, to ensure a seamless and enjoyable guest experience. Assist in setting up and breaking down event spaces, including moving tables, chairs and other equipment as required. Our venues may include exposure to animal dander, various weather conditions, loud music, and food allergens.

Qualifications





The ideal candidate will have the following background:


Prior experience as a busser or in a similar support role in a nightclub, restaurant, or hospitality setting is a plus. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and sanitation. Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry trays, and perform physically demanding tasks. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. A cooperative and teamwork-oriented attitude.

Be 18 years of age or older by June 2025. Be legally entitled to work for any employer in Canada. Have a Social Insurance Number. Have a bank account in the employees name. Must successfully participate in a criminal background check. Be available to work for all 10 days of the Calgary Stampede. Complete and comply with all required training and policies.
