Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Building Maintenancer to ensure the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of our facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance across the building to support a safe and efficient environment for staff and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance tasks and the ability to troubleshoot various issues promptly.

Duties

Conduct regular inspections of building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural components Perform routine repairs and maintenance to ensure all equipment and facilities are operating efficiently Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues in a timely manner Maintain cleanliness of common areas, mechanical rooms, and other designated spaces Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or installations when necessary Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes at all times On-call hours will be required

Experience

Proven experience in building maintenance or facilities management preferred Knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or general repair skills is highly desirable Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently and effectively Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Excellent problem-solving abilities and proactive attitude toward maintenance challenges Prior experience working in commercial or institutional settings is a plus Journeyman's certificate in one or more building trades is required

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $43.11-$45.60 per hour
