TACHES
ET RESPONSABILITÉS:
En tant que membre de notre équipe de Restauration de Montréal (bâtiments), vos tâches incluent, mais ne se limitent pas à:


  • Évaluer l’état de Bâtiments existantes telles que bâtiments résidentiels de grande hauteur, les garages de stationnement et l’enveloppe du bâtiment incluant les toitures;
  • Assistance technique pour les projets de restauration structurelle et gestion de projets d’expertise d’enveloppe de bâtiments et toitures;
  • Effectuer des inspections de chantier et l'administration des contrats pendant l'exécution des projets;
  • Diriger des projets d’ingénierie, y compris la conception détaillée et le soutien pendant la phase d’exécution;
  • Assurer la liaison avec les clients, et / ou les organismes de réglementation ainsi que les entrepreneurs;
  • Aider à la préparation des offres de services ;
  • Fournir du mentorat et orientation aux ingénieurs débutants et au personnel technique;
  • Conception et certification des projets moyennes et complexes ; et
  • Aider à identifier et à développer de nouvelles opportunités d’affaires.
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diplôme universitaire en génie civil.
  • Licence d'ingénieur professionnel au Québec, membre de l’OIQ
  • Licence d'ingénieur dans d'autres provinces (considéré comme un atout);
  • 5 ans et plus d'expérience en science de bâtiments et projets d'ingénierie structurelle au Québec;
  • Excellentes compétences interpersonnelles et capacité à travailler efficacement de manière indépendante ou en équipe;
  • Excellentes compétences en communication orale et écrite en français et en anglais;
  • Familier avec tous les codes du bâtiment et normes de conception applicables;
  • Maîtrise de Microsoft Word, Excel et PowerPoint; Familier avec AutoCAD;
  • Connaissance pratique des logiciels de conception de structures (ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, Woodworks, etc.);
  • Posséder un permis de conduire valide et avoir accès à un véhicule avec immatriculation et assurance valides.
  • Posséder la carte ASP Construction de sécurité en chantier de construction

If you are looking for an opportunity to work with a collaborative, hard-working and dedicated team of professionals, the Building Envelope and Structures Engineer opportunity in our Montreal Office could be the right opportunity for you.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a member of our Restoration team, you will be responsible for, under minimal supervision, for the realization of Building Envelope inspections, structural restoration, field inspection assignments and building envelope projects across the province of Quebec and Eastern Ontario. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
  • Inspection and evaluation of various building components (building envelope, roofs, building structure, reinforced concrete, steel, wood, etc.) and preparing complete technical reports and recommendations following the inspections;
  • Manage/coordinate restoration, expertise, and construction projects to ensure compliance with contract documents;
  • Interpret requirements and details of contract drawings and specifications;
  • Verify quantities, prepare progress reports and maintain documentation, including preparation of as-built drawings;
  • Identify and act on contractual and regulatory infractions;
  • Liaise/coordinate with contractors and other stakeholders; and
  • Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • University degree in Civil/Structural/Building science Engineering;
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer in Quebec (Member of OIQ) in good standing is required;
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer in other provinces (considered an asset);
  • 5 + years of building science projects and design experience on structural engineering projects in the province of Quebec;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English;
  • Familiar with all applicable building codes and design standards;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Familiar with AutoCAD;
  • Working knowledge of structural design software (ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, Woodworks, etc.);
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance;
  • Practical work experience and knowledge related to buildings envelope, roofs, and structures, inspections and supervision of work will be considered;
  • Experience in Building Envelope, Building Structures (Reinforced concrete, steel and wood);
  • ASP Construction safety training course is required;
  • Ability to work flexible schedules and travel to site locations (may include travel to various regions in Quebec and Eastern Ontario).
