Position Overview
Reporting to the Property Manager, the
Cleaner
is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of assigned residential apartment buildings. This includes regular cleaning of common areas and, when required, vacant suites to ensure they are move-in ready. The Cleaner works closely with Maintenance staff, Property Managers, Administrators, contractors, and service providers to ensure our buildings reflect the high standards Devon is known for.

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Weekends and statutory holidays may be required)*

Key Responsibilities
Common Area Cleaning
Clean and maintain all common areas such as lobbies, hallways, stairwells, laundry rooms, gyms, elevators, and site offices.
Disinfect high-touch surfaces in accordance with occupational health and safety protocols.
Perform sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and washing of floors, windows, walls, and fixtures.
Conduct carpet cleaning, pressure washing, and leaf blowing as required to maintain the exterior and interior areas of the building.
Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, replacing or reporting faulty items as needed.
Remove garbage and debris from common and exterior areas, including entrances and sidewalks.
Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors.
Attend meetings, planning sessions, and training as required.
Vacant Suite Cleaning
Clean vacated suites to ensure they are move-in ready by the 1st of the month.
Deep clean kitchens, bathrooms, walls, floors, ceilings, and windows.
Inspect, clean, and sanitize appliances to ensure full functionality.
Remove all debris and dispose of waste appropriately.
Coordinate with the property management team to ensure timely completion and report any issues or delays.
Qualifications
Physical ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs; able to stand, walk, and squat for extended periods.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
WHMIS certification (training can be provided).
