Residential High-Rise Building in Burnaby, near metrotown station
We are currently seeking a
reliable, hands-on Building Caretaker
to manage the day-to-day upkeep and operations of a high-rise residential building. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized property while coordinating closely with management, residents, and service providers.Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and communicate effectively with
clients and property managers
Maintain cleanliness of common areas and respond tospills or issues after janitorial hours
Sort garbage, recycling, and organics;coordinate waste collection with the city
Performdaily building inspections
and report deficiencies Assist withmove-ins and move-outs
Work closely withtrades and contractors
Schedule and coordinate building activities as required Monitor and managefobs, security cameras, and access control systems (Kantech)
(Training provided)
Basic checks daily required to notice any leaks and take some prventive measures. Assist with
after-hours service requests
as needed Check and monitor thepool area
(Pool Operator certification is an asset or willingness to obtain)
Qualifications & Requirements
Previous experience as a
Building Caretaker or Residential Maintenance
preferredHigh-rise building experience is a strong asset
Comfortable working independently and handling multiple tasks Strong communication and organizational skills Basic technical aptitude (security systems, access control) Flexible to workafter hours when required
Pool Operator certification an asset (or willingness to take training)Compensation & Benefits
On-site 1-Bedroom Apartment Available. Will prefer someone who can stay in building
50% of rent covered by employer if you wish staying in 1 bedroom apartment in the building.
