Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Brick Mason to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and construction, with the ability to work on various projects including new builds, renovations, and restorations. As a Brick Mason, you will be responsible for laying bricks, blocks, and other types of masonry materials while ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications Lay bricks, blocks, and other masonry materials according to design plans Use hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing masonry materials Perform caulking and sealing of joints to ensure structural integrity Collaborate with other construction professionals to complete projects on time Operate heavy equipment as needed for material handling and site preparation Conduct renovations and restorations of existing structures while maintaining historical accuracy when required Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols

Qualifications

Proven experience in masonry or related construction fields Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools specific to masonry work Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately Familiarity with renovation techniques and restoration practices is preferred Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality craftsmanship Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and perform manual labor for extended periods Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
