Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Brick Mason to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and construction, demonstrating proficiency in both traditional and modern techniques. As a Brick Mason, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and other materials, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Duties

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications to determine layout and materials needed. Construct walls, arches, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, or other masonry materials. Perform renovations and restorations on existing structures while maintaining structural integrity. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and installing masonry materials. Apply caulking and sealants to ensure weatherproofing of structures. Operate heavy equipment as necessary for transporting materials or assisting in construction tasks. Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

Proven experience in masonry or related construction fields is essential. Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics is required. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation is necessary. Knowledge of renovation techniques and restoration practices is preferred. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality craftsmanship. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks consistently throughout the day. Pay: $17.75-$30.00 per hour
