The Prince Edward Island Brewing Company

The PEI Brewing Company is a production brewery located in Atlantic Canada that is focused on craft beer and ready to drink cocktails. Founded in 1997, our primary values are Quality, Teamwork, and Continuous Improvement, and we try to bring these values to everything we do.

As a Brewer, You Will

• Produce wort and beverages according to standard operating procedures
• Handle raw ingredients
• Manage yeast
• Perform cellaring tasks (CIP, tank transfers, sampling for daily checks/QC documentation)
• Conduct filtration and transfers
• Complete documentation and traceability paperwork
• Perform general cleaning tasks
• Take part in the overall quality program
• Taste beer for off flavours as part of regular taste panels
• Help create and update SOPs
• Shifts are 10-12 hours, four days per week. Hours are generally 40-45 hours per week in the summer, 35-40 in the winter. Weekend coverage may be required seasonally but will retain the four-day-per-week schedule

• A safe worker who considers the safety of the whole team
• Able to handle multiple tasks and problem-solve effectively and efficiently
• You display excellent verbal and written communication skills
• You are detail-oriented
• Able to prioritize situations that require immediate attention

• Experience in a production brewery or brewpub
• Mechanical aptitude
• Knowledge of materials and equipment used within beer production
• Must be at least 19 years of age
• Ability to carry/lift heavy items, transfer/lift or push items
• Ability to lift 25kgs repetitively throughout a shift
• Ability to stand for long periods of time in a warehouse environment
• Ability to climb stairs repeatedly throughout the day
