Killer Dog Kafe is seeking a skilled and dedicated Breakfast Chef to lead our breakfast service and elevate our morning dining experience. The Breakfast Chef will oversee breakfast operations, manage a team of breakfast cooks, and create delicious, high-quality breakfast dishes that align with our brand's identity. The ideal candidate is passionate about breakfast cuisine, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has strong leadership and culinary skills.
Key Responsibilities
Breakfast Preparation
: Prepare and oversee the creation of breakfast menu items, including bacon, eggs, sausage, toast, and other offerings, ensuring consistent quality and presentation.
Team Management
: Supervise and manage a team of breakfast cooks, providing training, guidance, and scheduling to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Sunday Brunch Buffet
: Plan, prepare, and manage the weekly Sunday Brunch Buffet, creating a diverse and appealing spread that delights customers.
Menu Development
: Collaborate with the Cafe Manager to assist in creating and updating the breakfast menu, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative dishes.
Kitchen Operations
: Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen, ensuring compliance with food safety and health regulations.
Inventory Control
: Monitor ingredient inventory, coordinate with suppliers, and minimize waste while ensuring all necessary items are stocked for breakfast service.
Customer Satisfaction
: Work with front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless breakfast service from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, delivering an exceptional dining experience.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a chef, preferably in breakfast or brunch settings.
Strong culinary skills with expertise in preparing breakfast dishes, including eggs, bacon, sausage, and baked goods.
Experience managing or supervising kitchen staff.
Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-volume service, especially during Sunday brunch.
Creative flair for menu development and food presentation.
Availability to work early mornings (8:00 AM-12:00 PM) and weekends, including Sundays for brunch service.
Food safety certification is a required.
