Are you a versatile chef who loves variety and thrives in a dynamic kitchen environment? We're looking for a Chef Tournant to join our team at Crescent Spur Heli-Skiing, a small, owner operated heli-ski operation located 150km SE of Prince George, BC.
In the Chef Tournant roll, you will rotate through breakfast, dinner, and prep chef roles throughout the week. This is a unique opportunity to showcase your skills across multiple culinary areas.
Schedule is 6 days on, 1 day off - average of 10 hours per day.
Position is seasonal - running from late December 2025 to mid-April 2026.
Role Overview:
Dinner Chef (2 days/week):
o Plan, prepare, and execute a three-course gourmet dinner
o Prepare apres ski appetizers
o Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure a smooth service and timely plating
o Ensure quality, consistency, and presentation of all dishes
o Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in all kitchen areas
Breakfast Chef (2 days/week):
o Prepare and execute breakfast service
o Prepare soups for guest lunches according to unique dietary requirements for each group
o Prepare lodge staff lunch
o Assist with preparation of apres ski appetizers, dessert, and other dinner prep duties
Prep Chef (2 days/week):
o Prepare and package guest lunches
o Support breakfast chef in executing service and work with kitchen staff to clean up after breakfast
o Support dinner chef with prep of apres ski and dinner
o Assist with baking and pastry production
o Maintain organization and cleanliness of food prep and storage areas
o Help with general kitchen duties, including cleaning and dishwashing
Experience & Qualifications:
Red Seal certification preferred, but not required
3-5 years of professional kitchen experience
Able to relocate to a semi-remote lodge for the duration of the season
Capable to working physically demanding shifts - lifting moderate loads, bending easily, and working on your feet for full shifts
Positive attitude and enthusiasm to meet and serve an international clientele
Solid interpersonal skills allowing them to work independently, and as part of a team
Compensation & Benefits:
Daily wage based on experience + gratuities
