Bread Baker

Are you passionate about artisinal sourdough and ready to contribute to a dynamic team? Are you a morning person? Neighbourly Coffee is currently seeking a skilled individual to join us as a bread baker. This position has flexible hours ranging from 20-40 hours per week, offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a robust sourdough bread program for retail sale, the cafe menu, and future wholesale endeavours.

Bread Program Development

As the Head Bread Baker or a member of the bread team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and refining a sturdy sourdough bread program. This includes collaborating on creating recipes, shaping, and scoring techniques to meet the demands of retail, cafe, and wholesale customers.

Qualifications

Experience in working in bakeries an asset Passion for bread and sourdough, eagerness to learn Knowledge of various bread types, shaping, and scoring Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a professional team Demonstrates time management, creativity, and collaboration skills Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

Compensation:

The wage for this position is competitive based on previous experience and knowledge.

With a focus on work-life balance, this role offers hours ranging from 20-40 hours per week. Early mornings are required, but start times are flexible based on transportation.
