Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in sales, agency, marketing, or a related field.
  • 6 years of experience in management.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience leading a brand-centric media sales team.
  • Experience in a media sales environment.
  • Experience in online advertising with both brand and performance-focused sales, in auto, CPG, FBR or other brand-centric industries.
  • Ability to establish relationships at all levels throughout organizations and cross-functionally.
  • Established relationships and presence within the digital and media sector.
About the job

As a Brand Sales Director, you will mentor high-performing teams that use consultative business skills to understand advertisers' needs and deliver measurable solutions. You will also work with the sales leadership team to set strategic objectives and run the day-to-day operations for the business. The industries that you will focus on are Auto and Consumer Package Goods/Food, Beverage, and Restaurants (CPG/FBR). In addition to managing those customers, you will lead the Brand and YouTube growth for Canada Large Customer Sales in partnership with the Brand Strategy and other cross-functional teams.

You will lead teams to deliver on ambitious goals and partner directly with clients to exceed business/merchant growth goals across industries. The Brand Sales Director is responsible for growing and guiding Google's customer relationships with CMOs and our agency partners. You will also influences cross-functional stakeholders and teams towards optimal solutions for our customers and you will be the primary advocate of the industry sector. You share the opportunities and challenges of the market, and advocate the priorities for our products.

Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world's biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird's eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a strategy for driving ad business with Canadian advertisers across the sector.
  • Establish and nurture C-level relationships with advertisers and agencies across the sector.
  • Hire, train, and mentor an industry-leading sales team to provide consultative marketing solutions to top advertisers.
  • Contribute strategically to the growth and direction of Google's products and services.
