You
You are a person that is obsessed with process and organization and constantly looks for ways to improve and streamline workflows. Ideally, you have worked in a fast-paced creative start-up environment and are comfortable working with designers, copywriters, product marketing managers, and developers. You are a master of communication and prefer to over-communicate when it comes to projects and making sure the right people have a line of sight into their projects and tasks. The Job
You will be responsible for building, implementing, and streamlining new creative processes, managing new and existing creative requests, and driving complex creative projects. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to put together effective creative briefs that will be used by our design team to deliver on project goals. You will also work closely with the design team to manage projects and timelines based on bandwidth and ensure there is alignment between creative assets and creative brief.

Working closely with the Brand Design team you will be an integral part of a full-scale re-brand at Homebase, including tone and voice, look and feel, and website overhaul that will require planning, structure, and stakeholder buy-in. You will play a critical role in driving this project, setting up timelines, defining the project roadmap, giving creative input, and managing rollout and execution.
Reporting to the Head of Brand Design and working closely with the Marketing team the Creative Project Manager is responsible for managing our creative workflows, projects, timelines, and final assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the operations of the Brand Studio team and key creative projects, to ensure the team is operating efficiently, meeting deadlines, and delivering creative work that meets company goals.
  • Partner with internal teams and external agencies to clearly define the needs and goals of each project coming to the Brand design team.
  • Build project plans, defining the necessary team members, milestones, steps, processes, and deadlines. Then manage the team to execute the plan.
  • Set up and manage project management tools, processes, and standards
  • Receive, assess, and assign projects based on bandwidth.
  • Define project milestones and deadlines, and ensure the team is meeting them.
  • Monitor daily projects and resourcing; actively forecast and report on creative capacity and work with the creative and content production team leads to address and resolve resourcing issues.
  • Manage project kickoffs and briefings, taking clear notes and sharing details with the project leads.
  • Schedule and set the agenda for project kick-offs, weekly status/review meetings, and retros within the Brand design team.
  • Act as the liaison between Brand design and the other Marketing teams.
  • Oversee asset management to keep us organized and working efficiently.
  • Assist with creative feedback, proofreading, and quality control for creative assets
  • Support and manage our freelance creatives and agency partners, including researching partners, building relationships, negotiating contracts, building briefs, onboarding, training, scheduling, and handling invoices.
  • Continue to evolve and optimize our internal creative processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of creative project management experience
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Knowledge of digital asset management best practices
  • Detail oriented and can adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Knowledge about the creative production process for various mediums with a focus on websites, social, email, video, and paid ads
  • Experience with project management tools like Trello, Airtable, Asana
  • Experience working within Google docs (sheets, docs, slides)
  • Knowledge of content creation requirements
  • An eye for design
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working with creative assets and programs i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma
  • You have worked with and know your way around WordPress sites
  • Experience copywriting for marketing materials
  • Knowledge of pre-press, printing and publishing processes, and web and media requirements
