We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of financial concepts to support our organization's financial health.
Duties
Maintain accurate financial records through double entry bookkeeping practices.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Assist with budgeting and account analysis to support financial planning efforts.
Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar tools for efficient bookkeeping processes.
Qualifications
Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably in public practice dealing with corporate and non-profit clients.
Strong knowledge of financial concepts and principles.
Proficiency in using various accounting software applications; experience with QuickBooks, Sage, and Xero is highly desirable.
Familiarity with technical accounting practices including account reconciliation and payroll processing.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to manage multiple tasks and clients effectively.
Strong analytical skills for account analysis.
