Bookkeeping Assistant

professional to join our team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper who supports multiple clients or is looking to expand their portfolio with a reputable organization in the energy and land services sector.

In this role, you'll primarily operate in our accounting system Sage 50, assist with bookkeeping functions, and provide administrative support to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of daily operations. Daily work responsibilities for this position could include:



Bookkeeping & Accounting Support



Verify and input external timesheet data into the accounting system with precision and consistency. Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including processing invoices, payments, and receipts. Perform bank reconciliations, assist with bi-monthly payroll, and support month-end and project-based reporting. Maintain accurate and organized financial records. Collaborate with accounting personnel and leadership to ensure timely, compliant reporting. Contribute to improving bookkeeping and payroll processes or documentation. Respond to internal and external inquiries with professionalism and a friendly, service-oriented approach.

During the interview the right candidate will discuss related experience



2+ years of bookkeeping or financial administration experience (freelance or corporate). Familiarity with Sage 50 or similar accounting systems. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, reconciliation, and reporting. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. Professional discretion and a commitment to confidentiality. Comfortable working both remotely and onsite as needed. Above average proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work proactively, independently, and collaboratively. Creative problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to implement or suggest solutions to new and recurring issues.
