We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our organization. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in overseeing financial management and daily account activities. This position requires a strong background in accounting and finance, with proficiency in trust accounting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Duties
Oversee and manage all financial activities, including bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable and government remittances.
Perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions as needed.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure transparency in financial reporting and compliance with organizational policies.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a notary or legal environment.
Strong knowledge of trust accounting procedures and regulations in British Columbia.
Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
Diploma or certificate in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
