Responsible to maintain financial records for full cycle bookkeeping including:
posting tenant payments and charges;
contacting tenants with outstanding payments;
preparing and distributing financial statements;
entering payables for utility, maintenance, and other bills;
issuing payment cheques for payables;
completing and submitting tax remittance forms (Non-Resident Taxes and GST);
examining and analyzing journal and ledger entries to ensure accuracy;.
reconciling trust account bank statements;
answering client questions and concerns regarding financial statements..
year of prior professional full-cycle trust accounting experience required, preferably in real estate, legal, and/or accounting;
experience with Spectra or other property management software considered an asset;
College or University degree preferred;
attention to detail, time-management, prioritizing, and multi-tasking skills;
ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing required.
