Ritual Coffee is a busy cafe & micro coffee roaster in downtown Prince George. Experience with Hospitality businesses a huge asset and preferred.

We are hiring a part time/contract/independent bookkeeper. Specific type to be discussed during interview.

As our bookkeeper the specific tasks & skills you will be performing are:

Processing and performing all payroll duties Paying all invoices & bills - including your own Ensuring our books are up to date Paying all taxes Working with modern software & apps Connecting with our Manager for onboarding/offboarding Team Members Strong communication with our Manager & Director Sending a monthly brief to our Manager & Director
As our Bookkeeper the software and apps you must be fluent in are:

Xero or Quickbooks accounting software Team Management and digital time clock software Square Point of Sale Float and/or Keep business banking

Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years bookkeeping experience, be up on the latest technology, have the ability to spot cash flow trends, and is future/growth minded.

We are completely flexible on how we work together. You have the option of joining our team in a part time capacity or invoicing us through your own business.

This role is primarily remote. However, there may be a need to be "in house" from time to time.

Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Prepare and process invoices, payments
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Conduct account analysis and provide financial reports to management
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits

Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks & Xero
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization. You will be responsible for managing various financial processes, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and budgeting. Your attention to detail, proficiency in accounting software, and strong analytical skills will contribute to the accuracy of our financial records.
