Job Description


We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our team. You will work alongside our management team to help implement effective accounting, bookkeeping and reporting procedures for the organization. The successful candidate will be reliable and accurate in their work, and will have experience with both small and large-scale projects. The ideal candidate for this position has previous experience working in an office environment with a focus on administrative tasks, including maintaining records and overseeing the organization\'s budgeting. the role will include:

  • Complete and submit all weekly and monthly reporting according to deadlines.
  • Responsible for Accounts Receivable, Inventory reporting, as well as Accounts Payable duties.
  • Performing account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany general ledger accounts
  • Prepare bank deposits and mail pick-up as scheduled.
  • Review and identify discrepancies accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Manage bank and general ledger reconciliations
  • Perform month-end closings
  • Maintain investment amortization and fair value schedules
  • Track fixed assets and prepare depreciation schedules
  • Prepare the trial balance
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting
  • Prepare draft financial statements
  • Other financial and accounting administration
  • GST/ HST / Corporate Tax auditing
  • Support audit engagements by taking a lead role in preparing documents for annual external audit
  • Other Clarical and Administrative Tasks when required (5% of workload).
A successful candidate will have:
  • Completion of Accounting Diploma or equivalent
  • 5-10 years experience minimum
  • Strong academic achievement
  • Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal), able to effectively interface with personnel at all levels
  • Professional and friendly manner
  • Positive attitude and desire to help others
  • Great attention to detail
  • Results oriented with the ability to complete assignments on time and management multiple priorities concurrently
  • Excellent judgment and problem solving skills
  • Previous experience in an accounting rolerequired
  • Proficient computer knowledge of Quickbooks
  • Highly proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
