We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with experience in Quickbooks. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and supporting the financial health of our organization. The Bookkeeper will work closely with Ownership, This position starts as full time and can have the opportunity to be Part Time in the future.
Duties
Maintain accurate financial records through double entry bookkeeping and general ledger accounting.
Perform account reconciliation, including bank reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger to reflect accurate financial positions.
Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Assist in payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Support budgeting processes by providing necessary financial data and analysis.
Utilize various accounting software such as QuickBooks to streamline bookkeeping tasks.
Collaborate with management on financial concepts and technical accounting matters as needed.
Qualifications
Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably in corporate environments. Accounting background, CA or licensed Bookkeeper minimum two years experience is desirable.
Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero) is highly desirable.
Familiarity with public accounting practices.
Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills for account analysis and budgeting tasks.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while meeting deadlines.
Strong knowledge of debits & credits, journal entries, account reconciliation, and payroll processing.
Proficient in 10 key typing for data entry accuracy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
