Position Summary



Miku River Rock is seeking

Back-of-House (BOH) Staff

to join our culinary team. We are looking for passionate, dedicated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in creating exceptional food with precision, consistency, and care. Whether prepping ingredients, cooking on the line, or maintaining kitchen operations, you will play a key role in delivering the high-quality dining experience Miku is known for.

Responsibilities



Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and standards Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and food prep areas in compliance with food safety regulations Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cashiering duties Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash handling and basic math calculations Assist with food presentation and upselling menu items to enhance customer experience Support food handling procedures to ensure proper storage, temperature control, and hygiene practices Manage time effectively during busy hours to ensure timely order completion Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient restaurant operations and excellent customer service

Requirements



Prepare, cook, and assemble menu items according to ABURI standards and recipes Maintain consistency, accuracy, and quality in all food preparation and presentation Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene guidelines in accordance with Health & Safety regulations Assist with daily prep work and ensure station readiness before service Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace throughout service Receive, store, and rotate inventory following proper FIFO procedures Communicate effectively with kitchen teammates and support a collaborative working environment Follow direction from Chefs and BOH leadership while contributing to smooth daily operations Uphold ABURI's commitment to excellence, hospitality, and teamwork Perform additional duties as assigned by BOH leadershipJoin our team as a Back of House Team Member where your skills will contribute directly to delivering exceptional dining experiences!

Requirements



Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is an asset Strong work ethic with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Passion for culinary excellence and learning new skills Ability to follow instructions precisely and maintain consistency Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills Open availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Food Safe certification (or willingness to obtain) Japanese cuisine or sushi preparation experience is considered an asset Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $17.85 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 40 per week
