Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Back of House Team Member to join our dynamic pizza kitchen staff. This role is essential in ensuring that our food preparation and service operations run smoothly, maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas. Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to sanitation guidelines. Assist in inventory management, including receiving deliveries and stock rotation. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction. Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system, including Micros POS. Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and basic math skills for accurate transactions. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices. Customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests. Experience with serving, cashiering, or other roles within the food industry is a plus.
