What You'll Be Doing

As our next Piercing Artist, you'll be the go-to expert for safe, stylish, and memorable piercings. Your role will include:

Delivering top-notch customer service with a friendly, professional touch Performing body piercings with care, accuracy, and artistry Consulting with clients to find the perfect placement and style Maintaining impeccable hygiene standards, including sterilizing equipment and keeping your station spotless Educating clients on proper aftercare and healing Staying current with industry standards, techniques, and safety regulations Promoting your work and our studio through social media and other channels Managing inventory and ordering supplies when needed Keeping detailed records of piercings, photos, and consent forms Building and maintaining a loyal client base

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who's not only talented but also passionate about the craft and the people they serve. You'll need:

Minimum 2 years professional body piercing experience Professional piercing certification from a recognized institution is preferred, relevant experience will also be considered for the right candidate Must possess a valid Bloodborne Pathogen Certificate or be willing to obtain certification upon hire Experience with various piercing tools and techniques Up-to-date knowledge of body piercing health standards, safety protocols, guidelines, blood borne pathogens, WHMIS, general anatomy & physiology, infection control and PPE and industry standards Warm and approachable demeanor, with a natural ability to put clients at ease and help them feel confident in their piercing experience Commitment to maintaining a clean, hygienic workspace Flexibility to work weekends and holidays Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative spirit and a willingness to go the extra mile to support both clients and team members Grace under pressure and a professional approach to challenging situations Strong problem solving skills with the ability to navigate conflict calmly and constructively, always focused on finding positive, practical solutions for clients and team members alike Must be reliable and punctual

Additional Qualifications:

While not required, the following qualifications would be considered assets:

Valid First Aid certification WHMIS certification Experience working in a dynamic studio or customer-facing environment Familiarity with social media marketing or content creation Additional training in customer service, conflict resolution, or related area
