Job Summary

We are a student-centered educational organization seeking a

dedicated and knowledgeable Secondary School Biology Teacher

to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about teaching, committed to student success, and experienced in helping middle and high school students build a strong understanding of biology concepts.

This role involves delivering engaging lessons, supporting students with academic improvement, and fostering confidence and curiosity in the life sciences.

Responsibilities

Teach middle and/or high school Biology in one-on-one or small group settings Develop customized lesson plans based on students' academic levels and learning needs Explain core biology concepts clearly, including cell biology, genetics, ecology, and human systems Support students with homework, quizzes, exams, and overall academic performance Track student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents Create a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Biology, Education, or a related field Teaching certification is an asset Previous experience teaching or tutoring secondary school Biology preferred Strong communication and classroom management skills Patient, responsible, and passionate about helping students succeed Ability to teach in person in Vancouver OR deliver lessons online
