Job Summary

We are seeking reliable and skilled In-Town Roll-Off Truck Drivers to join our Bin Division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting roll-off bins safely and efficiently from our facility in Burnaby to client sites (and back) throughout the Lower Mainland while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, strong communication and the ability to manage freight effectively.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport freight to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other heavy equipment as necessary. Manually load and unload cargo that cannot be tipped from bins. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and deliveries. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transit. Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations regarding transportation and safety. Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the truck as needed.

Requirements

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required. Proven experience in commercial driving with a clean driving record. Familiarity with freight handling procedures and regulations. Experience operating forklifts or heavy equipment is preferred. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform minor automotive repairs. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) as required during loading/unloading processes. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
