Role and Objectives:
Kalesnikoff is expanding into modular construction with the launch of a new mass timber modular division focused on innovation and efficiency. As part of North America's first mass timber modular facility, the BIM Designer/Modeler will contribute to the design and development of modular building projects using Autodesk Revit and other BIM tools. Reporting to the Modular & Prefabrication Design Manager, this role collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, constructible models and documentation aligned with project requirements and schedules.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain BIM models using Revit, ensuring they meet project requirements and standards.
Creating 3D models using Revit.
Perform clash detection and model coordination between architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
Generate 2D drawings, schedules, reports, and visualizations from BIM models for design and construction documentation.
Participate in BIM coordination meetings and collaborate with internal team members, consultants, and stakeholders.
Support development and maintenance of Revit families, templates, and BIM content libraries.
Ensure adherence to company BIM standards, protocols, and best practices.
Integrate model data with project delivery tools and workflows as required.
Help troubleshoot and resolve modeling issues to support modular design and prefabrication workflows.
Requirements:
Education:
Diploma, degree, or certification in Architectural Technology, Engineering Technology, Construction Technology, or related field.
Experience:
Experience with Navisworks or other coordination tools
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and strong BIM modeling skills.
Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) is considered an asset.
Skills & Knowledge:
An understanding of the production and compliance with BIM Execution Plans
Familiarity with modular/prefabrication design workflows.
Knowledge of BIM standards such as ISO 19650.
Experience with generating and managing BIM content libraries.
Experience producing construction documentation and detailed 3D models.
Strong understanding of clash detection and model coordination
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with design and construction teams.
Compensation Package:
Salary: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00
Schedule: Monday - Friday
