to join our Finance Team. The Billing Specialist/Customer Service Representative will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely preparation of customer invoices, resolving billing discrepancies, answering customer account questions and supporting the overall revenue cycle. This role plays a key part in maintaining strong customer relationships through efficient and professional billing practice
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
Review contracts, work orders, and supporting documentation to ensure proper billing.
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries.
Collaborate with Operations and Sales teams to ensure billing aligns with service delivery.
Office Administration Duties
Maintain customer account records, including adjustments, credits, and rebills.
Assist with month-end closing processes and revenue reconciliations.
Support the Accounts Receivable team with collection-related inquiries.
Generate billing reports and provide insights into management as required.
Continuously look for process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency in billing practices.
Customer Service Duties
Respond to inbound calls and emails from existing and potential customers
Assisting in customer service level changes
Support temporary bin pricing and sales
Make outbound calls to follow up with clients or provide updates
Set up new sites and client details in the company database (CRM)
Collaborate with Sales, Logistics, and Operations teams to ensure seamless customer experiences
Build strong relationships with clients through excellent service and follow-through
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of billing, accounts receivable, or financial administration experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software (experience with
Dayforce, QuickBooks, or similar systems
an asset).
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Customer service is a mindset with a professional and positive attitude.
