Reports To: Manager, Human Resources

Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is a strategic and hands-on role that will provide a full cycle Human Resources leadership on organizational initiatives. The HRBP is the first point of contact for all employee relations and labour relations concerns related to an assigned client group.

The position entails but is not limited to the following:

  • Establishes and maintains professional and collaborative relationships with internal clients, stakeholders, and bargaining units;
  • Provides proactive, effective labour relations services, including grievance handling, collective agreement interpretation and negotiations;
  • Oversee projects and ongoing consultations to all levels of management;
  • Works proactively with employees and management to create and maintain initiatives to reach their goals;
  • Leads and enhances the organization\'s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
As the ideal candidate for this position, you:

Education & Experience:
  • Possess a post-secondary education specializing in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or relevant discipline;
  • Have current, progressive, and extensive experience delivering a wide range of human resources services in a complex, multi-union environment;
  • Education and experience will be complemented by a CHRP designation, either completed or in progress.
  • Uunderstands business goals and can recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures for continual improvements in business objectives productivity, and development of HR within the company;
  • A decision maker that is comfortable with high volume workload and strong deliverables;
  • Able to identify problems and drive appropriate solutions with a creative approach to dealing with complex situations;
  • Work well independently, are also an effective team player who is highly adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment;
  • Actively participate in outstanding customer service and accept responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

  • Bilingualism is required for this position. Must be fluently Bilingual (English and French) both written and verbal in order to provide services to our customers and communicate with internal stakeholders in both official languages Travel may be required at times.
