The Bilingual HR Generalist is responsible for supporting a wide range of human resources functions, including onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, offboarding, and employee engagement. This role requires fluency in both French and English to effectively support a diverse workforce in Quebec and ensure compliance with provincial labor laws and language requirements.

Responsibilities:

Act as the primary HR contact for French-speaking employees and managers, ensuring clear communication and support in both official languages. Facilitate onboarding and orientation sessions in French and English, ensuring new hires are well-integrated and informed. Support employee engagement initiatives, including wellness programs, recognition events, and team-building activities. Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Quebec labor standards and the Charter of the French Language. Assist with employee relations matters, including investigations and disciplinary actions, in collaboration with the Employee Relations team. Conduct exit interviews and analyze turnover trends to support retention strategies. Partner with managers and HR teams to support employee development, training, and performance management. Support organizational leaders in fostering a workplace culture where employees feel valued, engaged, and motivated to contribute. This will help build a company that people are proud to work for. Maintain accurate HR records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information. Participate in safety committee meetings and contribute to workplace health and safety initiatives. Support benefits administration, including leave management (e.g., CNESST, parental leave), open enrollment, and wellness fairs.

Qualifications

Requirements :

Minimum of 3 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a bilingual environment. Experience in employee relations and HR compliance in Quebec. Supervisory or team leadership experience is an asset. Fully bilingual in French and English (spoken and written). Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (PeopleSoft is a plus). Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
