JOB SCOPE: The HR Manager will plan and administer policies relating to all areas of human resources activity as well as build effective relationships and develop a high performing and collaborative work environment while utilizing innovative methods and communications to achieve organizational goals and to provide outstanding service in support of operational excellence in manufacturing plants. KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for selection, recruitment, and interviewing of plant employees and works jointly with supervisory and department heads in the hiring of employees. Oversees adherence to affirmative action programs, diversity goals and local laws.
  • Serve as a point of contact for all employees and provide guidance and assistance in matters related to employee relations. Provides effective coaching and guidance to line and department staff relating to employee concerns, problems, and disciplinary action to comply with company policies.
  • Responsible for the preparation of a bi weekly payroll
  • Perform all tasks well in advance of the payroll cycle to ensure staff members are paid and informed on time. Ensure accuracy of hours worked by employees
  • Process hires, changes, terminations, timesheets maintenance, bonus and other payments on ADP Workforce Now
  • Administration of benefits programs - Enrollments, Changes and Reconciliation
  • Updating and maintaining payroll procedures, guides and other documents
  • Assists in generating and evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of key KPI\xe2\x80\x99s.
  • Oversees maintenance of all personnel records. Ensures that rules concerning confidentiality and retention are followed.
  • Well versed in employee engagement, recognition, training, and development.
  • Plan and coordinate new employee orientations to foster a positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
  • Analyze training needs to design employee training and development including collaboration with safety programs.
  • Active participant in the plant management teams.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Oversees maintenance of all personnel records. Ensures that rules concerning confidentiality and retention are followed.
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES REQUIREMENTS:
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to seek resources as needed.
  • An approach to work that includes initiative, sound judgment, diplomacy and discretion.
  • Ability to drive process improvement.
  • Collaborative interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with hiring managers, candidates and peers.
  • Proficient PC skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
  • Excellent organizational skills with capability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Management or related field.
  • 5 + years experience in progressive HR roles in a manufacturing environment.
  • 1+ years of payroll experience
  • Strong knowledge of payroll tasks
  • ADP WorkForce Now experience is required
  • Thorough knowledge of laws affecting human resources administration.
  • 1+ years successful experience in labor relations environment, preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $75,000.00-$80,000.00 per year Benefits:
