The O'Dwyer Group is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive

Bilingual Human Resources Generalist

to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this role plays a key part in supporting the day-to-day HR operations and ensuring smooth delivery of services across areas such as onboarding, benefits administration, training, compliance, and employee engagement.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is passionate about employee support, and demonstrates strong bilingual communication skills in English and French.

This is an 16 Month+, contract position.



The O'Dwyer Group (ODG) is a vertically integrated, transport fleet services and temperature control solutions provider with over 50 years of combined expertise. ODG is comprised of a transport temperature control division, and a transport fleet services division.

Responsibilities would include:



Administer and manage the group benefits, RRSP, and rewards and recognition programs. Coordinate all aspects of onboarding, including preparing offer letters and assigning training. Maintain accurate employee training records and manage termination administration. Prepare employment verification letters and ad-hoc HR reports. Maintain employee files and documentation. Support the company's Health & Safety program initiatives and participate in JHSC meetings (agenda and minute preparation). Support the leave of absence process and manage fleet insurance requirements. Assist with employee immigration inquiries and translate HR documents as required. Post and promote job openings on Indeed and other platforms. Partner with recruitment agencies and hiring managers to meet hiring needs. Source, screen, and interview candidates. Conduct reference and background checks. Coordinate interviews and attend job fairs. Ensure compliance with Quebec legislation and CNESST requirements. Monitor workplace hazards and report risks. Stay current on health and safety-related legislative updates. Manage all CNESST claims for Quebec. Perform additional HR-related tasks and special projects as assigned.

Education & Experience:

College Diploma or Certificate in Human Resources Management.

Skills & Competencies:



Fully bilingual in

French and English

, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages. Able to travel 10%+ / 1 trip per month to our Quebec locations. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accurate data entry skills. Proven ability to handle confidential information with integrity. High level of initiative, adaptability, and teamwork. Minimum 3 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist or related role.
