Distribution solutions is a multi-site, multi-disciplined business team accountable for developing strategies and technologies to transform the Individual Insurance & Wealth sales organizations.

Reporting to Strategic Execution & Change Management, the Digital Consultant will have a direct partnership with the Digital Adoption strategy \xe2\x80\x93 in support of adoption goals and best practices, support for disruptive change, user engagement and capabilities feedback. The Digital Consultant will be accountable for providing business application support to Sun Life advisors, field Managers and support staff to be successful in using various, inter-connected digital solutions that support an advisor practice. The Digital consultant will help advisors and field leaders develop the confidence and capability needed to embed the use of our tools in servicing their clients, generating sales opportunities and asset growth.

What Will You Do?

  • Deliver group training, provide high level business support and coach on advisor digital solutions that are part of the Digital tool kit to advisors and field leaders
  • Accountable for regional adoption targets specific to digital application as aligned with Retail Advice & Solutions strategic objectives
  • Work with teams to drive digital best practices (One Best Way) within assigned region for optimal productivity gains to effectively support prospecting and/or sales process as it aligns with the client engagement model
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand and support tool, technology and data issues and provide field feedback in support of tool or process development/enhancement.
  • Execute field roll out of digital technology updates, new business applications and capabilities or adoption/usage initiatives in collaboration with the Strategic Execution & Change Management and field leadership
  • Deliver 1:1 direct engagement (consultations) with Sun Life advisors and their teams to identify opportunities to imbed digital tools that will increase their productivity and efficiency in their business.
What Do You Need to Succeed?
  • 5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in the IT or service support industry with technical experience or formal technical post- secondary education
  • Adult learning principles, experience and accreditation and their application
  • Demonstrated skills and experience with various software and hardware and their connectivity, specifically: Salesforce.com, Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneDrive, SharePoint), Windows , 10
  • Demonstrated proficiency and technical understanding with technology software/hardware
  • Problem solving skills through the ability to understand what the issue is, define the pros and cons and make pragmatic recommendations related to complex issues.
  • Excellent collaboration, interpersonal and meeting facilitation skills with a focus on driving results.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to train/coach others, and to gain an understanding of the nature of the problem
  • Effective ability to work in a team environment, strong team player with an ability to work well under pressure; ability to build relationships and take initiative as required
  • Experience working with staff and teams in a multi-site environment where necessary
  • Excellent organizational skills, strong work ethic; and good time management skills
  • Experience in the digital scene and a keen eye for detail with strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada and worldwide.
Assets:
  • Experience with SLFD leadership and advisors sales processes
  • Experience in both the insurance and wealth industries.
  • Experience with leveraging data and analytics for solutions.
  • Success with driving digital adoption.
Notes/Unique Requirements:
  • Up to 25% Travel to Toronto, Waterloo, and Montreal and advisor offices.
  • Ability to manage a flexible work schedule
The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
