Bilingual Rehabilitation Consultant

Job Description




We are looking for a Rehabilitation Consultant - bilingual, 100% remote in Quebec.

We are looking for an individual to join our team of rehabilitation counsellors in the Greater Montreal area. The position involves assessing the vocational, training and medical needs of claimants with disabilities, designing and implementing approved service delivery plans in accordance with claimant needs and contractual provisions.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

  • Work in accordance with our values of Customer Perception, Integrity, Partnership and Communities;
  • Meet clients in the field:
  • Assess vocational rehabilitation needs and potential by reviewing and directly interviewing individuals receiving disability insurance benefits;
  • Provide advice, referral services or both, as required, to address the identified needs of claimants with disabilities;
  • Work in partnership with the policyholder (employer);
  • Work with internal and external partners (claims managers, disability managers, medical coordinators, health professionals, etc.);
  • Establish realistic and cost-effective rehabilitation plans;
  • Prepare written reports detailing findings and recommendations;
  • Administration : follow up on activities related to rehabilitation, activities related to rehabilitation resources; meet identified performance standards; complete special projects; take responsibility for own professional development.
  • Serve clients in English and French.
Who you are:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in health sciences, psychosocial intervention or other field combined with relevant experience;
  • 4 years of relevant experience in intervention;
  • 5 years\' experience in rehabilitation (an asset);
  • Relevant experience in facilitation;
  • Relevant experience in coaching and counseling;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Autonomy;
  • Ability to work with multiple deadlines and priorities;
  • Good analytical skills;
  • Ability to transcribe relevant information on computer as and when required, while communicating (both over the phone and in person) with insureds, employers, health professionals, etc.
  • Experience in the insurance industry is an asset;
  • Bilingualism, both written and spoken.
  • A valid driver\'s license and a vehicle are required due to possible travel.
Special requirements:

You must be able to install office equipment in a dedicated space in your personal residence, and more specifically in an area where confidentiality of files will be preserved;
You must be able to address any computer problems with the assistance of our Technology Services Office;
You must be able to travel to our downtown Montreal office (Rene Levesque) on a regular basis for team meetings, training, etc;
You must hold a valid driver\'s license and own a vehicle, given the need to travel in the greater Montreal area and around.
