Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Payroll and Benefits, the Benefits Specialist acts as a subject expert providing organizational wide support on Group Benefits and Pensions to Wonderbrands Canada Team Members.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responding to inquiries and escalations regarding Benefit and Pension plans
  • Communication to and education of Team Members on Benefit and Pension Plans offered by Wonderbrands.
  • Maintaining enrollment process for Benefit and Pension plans, proposing and implementing improvements.
  • Communicating with external consultants, brokers, and providers to resolve issues.
  • Informing Team Members about any changes to the benefits structure.
  • Ensuring that HCM and Provider portals are aligned and up-to-date in respect to Team Member records.
  • Reconciliation and payment of invoices based on plan volumes and plan rates
  • Contributing to projects as they arise.
  • Partnering with external consultants to create and distribute Annual Member Statements
  • Build and maintain relationships to internal and external stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Post Secondary Degree/Diploma in Human Resources
  • 3 years experience working in pension and benefits management.
  • CEBS, CMS, or GBA certification or working towards
  • Experience with Workday, as well as, strong Excel skills
