Responsibilities
SUMMARY: Provides assistance to the Benefits team who are responsible for enrolling and administering benefits plans for wage and salary employees. Assists Benefits team in the preparation of personnel files (paper and digital) and receiving and scanning forms including pay, benefits, tax, and Discipline and work history forms. Sort documents that need to be placed in personnel files and assist in filing as needed. Performs a variety of clerical duties relating to the administration of the disability plans for employees. Reviews employee benefits inboxes in outlook and responds to Canada Life inquiries including but not limited to claim discrepancies, employee schedules, return to work queries etc, and reroutes to the designated team, if required. Assists the Benefits Administrators in preparing FOI/POP requests by photocopying personnel files. Receives Canada life daily courier package, sorting scanning and renaming documents and cheques for benefits team to action. Assists the Benefits Administrators with receiving and recording all messages received on the Benefits team message central line.
Qualifications
EDUCATION: Requires Grade 12 including solid knowledge of standard office tools including word processing and spreadsheet software. EXPERIENCE: Requires six (6) months of previous experience using personal computers in a Windows environment. Requires up to six (6) months in the position to become familiar with TransLink\xe2\x80\x99s human resource policies and procedures as they relate to the position.

Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.

Rate of Pay
Salary $4,287 - $5,160 per month (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity). The Total Compensation Package includes Extended Health, Dental, Transit Pass and enrollment in the Public Service Pension Plan.
