Responsibilities

Perform detailed inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on electronic equipment using hand tools and diagnostic instruments such as ohmmeters and schematics. Disassemble, reassemble, and calibrate hardware components with mechanical knowledge to ensure optimal functionality. Use computer hardware knowledge to diagnose issues related to system performance and connectivity. able to read schematics and technical manuals is a benifit. Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to prevent future failures, including cleaning, part replacement, and system updates. Utilize field service techniques for on-site troubleshooting when necessary, ensuring minimal downtime for clients. Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used in compliance with company standards.

Skills

Proven experience as a service technician or in a similar field service role involving electronic or mechanical equipment repair. Proficiency with hand tools, schematics reading, and basic mechanical assembly/disassembly. Strong understanding of computer hardware components and computer networking fundamentals. Ability to interpret technical diagrams, wiring diagrams, and schematics effectively. Knowledge of low voltage systems and experience working with electrical components safely. Familiarity with testing instruments such as ohmmeters for diagnosing electrical faults. Excellent mechanical aptitude combined with troubleshooting skills for complex equipment issues. Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and document technical procedures clearly.
